Get to Know Us

Emerging out of a difficult lockdown/pandemic period, Locrian Tones started off as a way for musicians to re-connect with each other. Isolation gives us a new appreciation for community, friendship, family and the role music plays in uplifting the quality of our lives. This band consists of members with African and Caribbean descent whose cultures have played a huge part in nurturing and influencing their sounds. Through practice, this band has honed its craft for infusing neo-soul melodies with Latin and Afrosoul grooves that leaves you tapping your feet and nodding your head inadvertently. Based in Victoria BC, we plan to share our talents with the world, playing on any stage that would allow us into their creative space.

Shows

Live shows are the bread and butter of this band. We believe in a collective musical experience. Incorporating freestyles into our planned set list also keeps each show unique to the audience and allows our musicians to express themselves to the fullest. With a blend of covers and originals, we draw inspiration from musicians that have influence us in creating our own sound. We will be playing across Vancouver Island and on the mainland all summer. You are welcome to join us as we celebrate all things RnB, Afrobeats and Neo Soul.
